T Tiny Forest was commissioned by a family wishing to have their own tiny forest under their house. We planted the forest with all the family members and some neighbors to highlight the communal aspect and create a shared experience around the project. The maintenance of the forest becomes a family ritual.
We located and planted a 9 SQm plot of land next to their building which will provide a tiny forest ecosystem and micro-climate with 37 native trees and shrubs of 18 different species. This project is part of a larger project for the family in achieving climate resilience, with the next steps involving starting an urban farm and chicken coop.
