We plant dense native forests in the cities of the MENA region
We plant dense native forests in the cities of the MENA region
We restore biodiversity, promote healthy soil and mitigate climate change
Landscaping & ecological restoration complement each other to make for a beautiful, restorative, and maintenance-free garden
We empower communities to reclaim public spaces and catalyze ecological & psychological healing
We provide habitat for birds, beneficial insects and underground microorganisms to flourish in degraded areas
We encourage landowners to replace high-maintenance conventional landscaping with native forests to increase biodiversity and eliminate maintenance costs
The Miyawaki Technique of afforestation we use is a unique methodology proven to work worldwide, irrespective of soil and climatic conditions, from tropical ecosystems to the most arid deserts. More than 3,000 forests have been successfully created worldwide using this methodology since the 1970s.
Scientists have sounded the alarm for not one, but two major crises of our times: unprecedented biodiversity loss, and rapid climate change. We believe that the climate change crisis is getting more spotlight because its impacts are more tangible, but we also believe that both crises are intertwined and must be addressed in tandem.
theOtherForest; a nature-based tool for ecological and social regeneration, stems out of our belief that we can (and should) tackle both crises together. After many years of working on designing sustainable habitats for humans, I have turned my attention to building regenerative habitats across species; forests which restore habitats for all of earth’s creatures, including humans.
